Program Overview
The Ft. Wainwright BOSS Program supports the overall quality of life for single and unaccompanied soldiers (including single parents) on the installation focusing on three core components:
  • Quality of Life
  • Recreation and Leisure Activities
  • Community Service

Directly working with the chain of command, BOSS assists single soldiers in identifying and resolving any issues effecting quality of life, planning recreational and leisure activities that are unique to Alaska and Fairbanks, and providing opportunities for soldiers to participate and contribute to the Ft. Wainwright and Fairbanks community.

BOSS Committee
Guided by Garrison Command Sergeant Major and Family and MWR Advisor, a committee of soldiers develops and operates BOSS activities. Meetings are held at the Zone on the first and third Thursday of every month at 1:30 p.m. Everybody is invited to attend!
How to get involved
In addition to goals prescribed by the BOSS program, we are currently focusing on raising the awareness of BOSS programs and increasing the participation of soldiers who are returning home from deployments and those who are getting ready to deploy as well as those who stay on home front. Please contact the BOSS committee at the number above  if you have any comments or suggestions. For more information, contact the BOSS.
